GUY ALLEN

Meet one of Santa Anna's most famous sons, rodeo champion Guy Allen. Born in Lousiana Sept. 5, 1958, Allen currently resides in Santa Anna, where he has also spent much of his life. He joined the PRCA in 1976 and won world SR titles in 1977, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1989 and 1991-2001.

Also to his credit are 27 NFSR Qualifications from 1977-2002, 1st in the 2003 World Standings, 2nd in 2003 NFSR.

Guy extended his PRCA record for world steer roping titles by winning his eighteenth, highlighted by a record fifth aggregate victory at the National Finals Steer Roping, an event he has qualified for 28 consecutive times, which is also a record.

In 2003, he won 17 world titles to set a PRCA record. He qualified for a record 27th consecutive Nation Finals Steer Roping and won the Walker County Fair and Rodeo in Hunstville, Texas as well as the Seridan Rodeo in Wyoming.

2002 — Qualified for record 26th consecutive National Finals Steer Roping; wonBeef Empire Days Rodeo (Garden City, Kan.), Deadwood (S.D.) Days of '76 Rodeo and Walker County Fair & Rodeo (Huntsville, Texas).
2001 — Won 16th world steer roping title tying Jim Shoulders for the most world titles in PRCA history; broke own record of consecutive world titles (11).
2000 — Won NFSR average title his fourth en route to winning 10th consecutive world steer roping title; set PRCA single-round record with 7.9-second run in Duncan, Okla.; won average title at Guymon, Okla.
1998 — Set PRCA steer roping single-season earnings record ($99,132); won average title at Pendleton (Ore.) Round-Up.
1997 — Won NFSR-record $23,435 and won third NFSR average title.
1996 — Won Texas Circuit year-end steer roping title (also in 1989-91, 1995).
1994 — Won Prairie Circuit steer roping (also 1992-93) and all-around titles (also 1993).
1991 — Won second NFSR average championship.
1990 — Missed winning world title by $85 finishing second in world standings to Phil Lyne.
1989 — Won first NFSR average championship; won Texas Circuit title.
1983 — Finished second to Roy Cooper in final world standings.
1981 — Finished second to Arnold Felts in final world standings.
1977 — Won first world steer roping title becoming youngest steer roping champion (19) in PRCA history.
